Application process in the brokerage for insurance

The application in brokerage is currently complicated, protracted and often highly prone to error. Insurance offers filled out by hand, which are illegible or incomplete, cause a lot of extra outlay for companies and government bodies. Quality assurance and validation generally doesn't occur at the point of contact, leading to costly reworking, return queries and corrections.

CABAReT supports brokerage with intelligent PDF forms in the "3C-proposalMaster®" solution scenario from SBI. These contain data interfaces to the inventory maintenance system, input rules for content, completeness, rate regulation, limit values and an integrated calculation kernel for the broad range of finance calculations. Equipped with these functions, CABAReT makes it possible to give a valid quote at the customer's premises, including electronic signature by the customer. The offer is then forwarded in the form of a PDF form directly to the insurance company for processing, where it automatically controls efficient handling by the people responsible.

Seamless and efficient electronic building valuation

A Swiss buildings insurance company wanted to provide their valuers with a simple tool that could be used in the building to be valued. The previous paper-based processing procedure was to be made seamless and automatic. The latest standards (PDF/A, XML, encryption) and existing systems (document archive) were to be used.

An electronic form was created (eForm), which corresponds exactly to the paper form, and which is pre-filled with data from the existing inventory system. The valuer fills this out on-site in the building to be valued on a tablet PC and does not need any further documents.

As the data on the eForm has been made plausible and due to the comprehensive tests during data import into the inventory system, there is no further need for visual input checks. Internally there is no further need for laborious typing in of valuation data, which ultimately leads to cost savings.

The electronic form is stored in the document archive exactly as the paper form was. The eForm is automatically converted to PDF/A format for this purpose. The archived document can be viewed at any time from the inventory system with a simple mouse click. The building valuation is electronic from start to finish and it still meets legal standards.
