General function overview

Form editor for creating/changing PDF forms

The integrated editor supports all of the conventional form field types for creating interactive forms (Buttons, Checkboxes, Combination fields, List fields, Option fields, Text fields and digital signature fields) including their specific form field properties. Depending on the field type different properties may be set. For combination fields and text fields you can set, for example format, validation, and calculation properties.

• Define and edit form fields (all field types, properties and actions)
• Generate plausibilities and calculations with JavaScript®
• Orientation, centering and spacing of form fields with the right mouse button
• Select multiple form fields and simultaneously modify appearance, size and positioning for all of them.
• Set completion order ('Tab'-key order) for navigation with the 'Tab'-key.
• Define components - bind often-used form field groups for simpler re-use.

Electronically sign PDF files

CABAReT Stage Professional supports electronic signatures in PDF documents based on the guidelines set by the the german law 'Signaturgesetzes' (SigG). The electronic signatures are either imbedded in the PDF document or saved as an attachment and can be validated with third-party software (e. g. Adobe Reader).

• Protect PDF documents with a file-based electronic signature certificate

Import/export data into/from PDF forms

Form data can be exported to a separate file. Exporting form data will save the available data, which can then be sent per e-mail or over the Internet. The form data can be saved as either FDF (Forms Data Format) or XFDF (XML-based FDF files).

• Fill PDF forms with data from various applications and/or databanks
• Read data from PDF forms and turn it over to other applications and/or databanks for further processing
• The currently supported formats are FDF, XFDF and CSV

Integration/Automation

One of the greatest advantages with CABAReT Stage Professional is its flexibility and functionality, which are available to you with the application scripting and reporting. With it you can create individual sequences for processing PDF forms using imbedded JavaScript instructions.
